Tales of Berseria Easy Way to Get Odorless Fluid
If you find a trick to quickly grind the baloon minigame (or any other), you can buy them from there (a bit pricy in coins though, but it's a way), if not a few areas have them in the random glowing item collection points (the sewers being the earliest I think, but other thread speak about a farm, no idea where that is though).
yeeeah well I have already done the balloon thing if that's the one u are speaking of, but 110 tales coin per like 10 seconds (include loaad time + menu time) but the odorless fluid costs like 6k each, any faster methods? I haven't checked out the sewers place yet tho.
There really arent any good methods of farming tales coins except for beating your record on that damage test dummy. Even that is so slow for farming those upgrade materials. Better to just dismantle everything you dont need and pick every glowing object.
From what I noticed, the odorless fluid is mostly needed only for the "non standard" weapons, so I basically only upgrade those that need it to +2 for now, and make all the fluids I can from the few equipments that have no random skills (it's only 1 per, but it's always better than nothing).
I agree that it's a pain that the thing is so valuable only because we get so many things with skills on them, but there is very little we can do about it, so just check the equipments that come from chests and the shop, as they tend to have a few without random skills every now and then.
Yeah...well I have yet to see shop sell me anything without a random skill sadly =/
Well, the best way if you are going to use the shop is to find a shop that's very close to an exit with enemies close to that too, as the shops reset their inventory after a few fights (I think it's 3, but it might be a bit more)
The worse part about this whole thing is that if you had known about the need for this early enough, you could have farmed the snow zone before you have too many glacites that give random skills to items, both combat drops and shops would have potentially much more frequent "no skills" items.
I'm not going to be restarting the game from nothing just for that though, but if it's a really big deal for you, that might be a way that's a bit less frustrating.

That's exactly why I wish they were toggleable. =/
Was having the same problem just yesterday when I searched it and learned that, like Fel said, you get them by dismantling items without any random skills on it. That's super rare for anybody playing on moderate+ but it drops at a decent rate on simple. Not sure if there's a better way but for now I'd suggest just lowering the difficulty to simple and playing like usual but upping the difficulty for boss fights so you get plenty of grade. Even on simple though, a lot of the gear still had a random skill on it so it may still take some time. Definitely the biggest oversight with upgrading gear IMO. A mechanic that literally forces you to lower the difficulty to get a material for upgrades. No idea why they couldn't just make it a 10-20% drop from dismantling.
Well, I get difficulty to simple in a class 4 island and farm it a few times to get equipment with a good chance of having 0 skills. Oh! And I play with Magilou and put upgrade drop equip's tittle...

for farming tales coins is the baloon thing great 110 coins each time ... take velvet on Stage 1, enter the fight, take 1-2 steps forward, target the mid baloon and do your break soul ... 110 coins in under 2 seconds ... only annoying thing is that the game always is locked on "no" if the question comes up if you want to play again ... but even the dummy thing gives less with time progressing ... its brainless grinding but efficient
